Cooking School & Foreign Language Lessons

This morning I woke up to the most adorable thing. Emilie was making us breakfast-in-bed, and teaching Ivy how to cook. She made us each 1 scrambled egg. I could hear her telling Ivy how to crack the eggs, and mix them around the pan with the spatula. She showed her how to transfer the eggs to a plate, and then placed them on her little pink tea cart and told Ivy to deliver them to us. Which Ivy actually did.

After feeding Jason and me, she began to make breakfast for everyone else. That is when the foreign language lessons began.

I could hear her telling Ivy to say "bone" and "jor" then put them together... bonjour. "That's how you say hello in..." wait for it..."Japanese." Next she taught her "O" "la" put them together...hola. "That's how to say hello in Mexican." I think its time to consider foreign language lessons for Emilie.

After Language lessons, it was time to deliver eggs to Uncle Paul. They knocked on his door. He told them to wait a minute. They stood outside his door and counted together to 60, one full minute later, they knocked again. He answered the door cracking up. He really is a good sport. He ate all the cold rubbery scrambled eggs.

It was a great way to start the day.

  2. I can imagine you smiling with surprise and delight. I loved this! Especially the language lessons--by the by, they have a slew of "Rosetta Stone" in the Parks Mall. They even have a "homeschooling" edition--must be kid friendly?!!! :0)
