Mr. Poyfair Goes to Washington

Last week was the CPAC Conference (Conservative Political Action Committee). Thanks to Jason's dad, Papa Bear, he was able to see our Capital, and be front and center when the "love of his life" (Mitt Romney) spoke at the conference. Yes, they had the best seats in the house on Thursday. A memory he will relish all his life I am sure.
He and his dad had a great time seeing big names, taking in the sights, and picking fights with rude photographers. We missed him here at home, but it was an experience he will never forget, and one I am so glad he was able to have.

Watch out its a Fertelli Brother!!!

Yes, Jason took this picture himself. I love you Mitt!

He's finally in a place where everybody loves him.

winter wonderland

Most mornings I have to drag the kids out of bed, dress Ivy myself, and rush them out the door to school. They are dilly dallyers. Emilie does everything but what she is supposed to be doing. But boy I tell you what, all I had to say was SNOW and they were dressed, ready and breakfasted with time to spare. They were able to play in the snow for a full 15 minutes before leaving for school this morning. I've never seen them move that fast in the morning! Amazing what a little snow can do.

Adelaide had a blast today. Good thing I'm a saver. We have made good use of all the winter gear we bought for Emilie when we lived in Utah. I really never thought we would ever use it again. It's been nice

Ivy Turns Seven

Ivy awoke to the Royal Treatment. Emilie decided her gift would be Breakfast in Bed. So we got up early, heated up pancakes (made the night before) and made her a big cup of hot Coco with marshmallows. She loved it! Since she hates to get out of bed in the morning this was the best way to wake up for her.

Not long after that Grandma Sneddon called to wish her a happy birthday. Ivy had a huge smile on her face as grandma sang to her.

Later today I will be delivering Heart Cookies, per Ivy's request, to her first grade class. Then home from school to open presents, eat cupcakes, and bask in the glory of turning seven.

I love kid birthdays. They truly are magical. I hope this is a magical one for my little dumpling.

Happy Birthday Ivy!
