Memorial Day Summer Kick Off.

We are back from our traditional trip to the Lake House with Jason's family. It was a wonderful fun as usual. Jason actually swallowed his fear of sharks and swam in the lake this time. He also proved himself to be quite the fisherman, catching no less than 7 Catfish in one afternoon. We will be having a Catfish fry tomorrow night thanks to him.
Emilie and Ivy had a blast as usual playing on the boat, and riding the wave runners. I could hardly keep the kids out of the lake.

Adelaide played with her little cousins so well. They are becoming such cute little friends. Uncle Shawn and Aunt Janet brought their new little Chiuaua puppy. It was fun the see the little girls carrying him around and babying him to death.

I was able to take a shopping trip into Tyler with my Sisters-in-law, Sharee and Christie. We had so much fun. It was wonderful to shop for hours with good friends. I don't get to do that often enough.
Now its on to the last week of school. HOORAY!!!
Thank you once again to my wonderful Parents-in-law for providing a way for us to make such wonderful memories. I know my kids will always remember their trips to Grandma and Grandpa's lake house as some of the best times of their lives.

The End of Girl Scouts

This was Ivy's second year as a Daisy Scout. She was so fun and funny this year. I think the highlight was going to the Nursing Home to pass out Valentine's cards. Ivy walked around hunched over pretending to have a bad back, and telling the residents "Your so old!" Sadly I had to miss this one due to my night class, but Jason tells me she stole the show that night.

I might also mention that Jason just stopped taking her to her meetings back around March, but never bothered to tell me that. However the first half of the year was a great success.

We went to her final meeting on Monday where she Bridged to Brownies, and received her patches for the year with a certificate. Many thanks to the great troop leaders Mandy and Andrea for 2 wonderful years of Daisy Scouts.

t-shirt design

Now I know I'm no graphic design artist, but I had to make a t-shirt for my final project in

Digital Design. I decided to make a family reunion shirt for Jason's family. I think it turned out pretty decent.

I want the Poyfairs especially to chime in on what they think. Of course all are welcome to tell me what they think as well.

Are you ready for the summer? Are you ready for the hot nights? Are you ready for the birds and the bees, the apple trees, and a whole lot of fooling around?

The answer to these questions is a resounding, YES!

I had my last Friday class today. I feel so much better now that its over. I should also add that I have resolved to never take another Friday class. My final project for this class (photography) took up so much of my time. In the last 2 weeks I have spent between 16 and 20 hours in the dark room, with an additional 3-4 out taking pictures. I am totally fried right now, and the fact that my family is asking me whats for dinner, is getting on the nerves a bit.

I am really happy with how my project turned out. I'll put up some pictures when I get them back next week.

Now its time to cram Art History info into my head for Monday, and finish up the T-Shirt I am working on for digital design. I just love being in school. I love learning new things, and being around creative people.
I don't love feeling inadequate in my classes, and admitting I don't actually know everything yet.

I am so ready to chill out all summer long, and brain dump all the info I have been stuffing in for the last 9 months.
