I'm smarter than he is!

Okay, so after dinner tonight Jason and I were sitting at the table talking while Emilie washed the dishes. Jason asked me who was smarter, him or me. before I could even respond, Emilie says loud and clear "Mom is". We both just burst out laughing. I love that she didn't even think about the answer, she just automatically responded. Out of the mouths of babes!

Saturday was a busy day for our little family. In the morning we joined our ward in participating in Clean Up Burleson. We dropped Addie off at church for some free baby sitting, and made the other 2 work. Emilie had a great time pinching my bottom with the garbage grabber tool, and picking wild flowers. Ivy "fell" in every mud puddle she found, chased butterflies, and played in poison ivy. luckily she was sufficiently covered, and never got a rash.

After the clean up was over we were off the the park for a hike with my Activity Days girls. That was such a kick. Jason came as priesthood leadership, and was such a trooper pushing the double stroller on the bumpy path. Ivy once again found the mud puddles, and Emilie had such a great time getting to know the girls better. She will be joining the group this November; I think it is good for her to see what it is like. She is so excited to be official. Really I think it was the best activity we have had yet. We gave the girls disposable cameras to use, and I can't wait to see the pictures they took.

By the time the day was over we were all ready to crash. I'm so glad we used our Saturday in such a good way, it seems like we usually waste our time. I would really like to make our Saturdays more meaningful, and spend time as a family.

Where was I 10 Years ago...

Newly married to my sweetheart; living in our first apartment together. It was around this time I got mono, so that stunk. I was working for Sears, and hating my job. but I loved being married. I would make romantic dinners for us all the time. Can't remember now the last time I did that.

5 things on my to do list today...

Take Ivy to her autism testing.
Buy some groceries
go walking
pick up the kids from school
make dinner

My bad Habits...

impulse buying, I have to make myself put stuff back on the shelf.
cherry coke, the kind from sonic that has a real cherry in it.
sleeping in. I am so not a morning person
driving too fast. except when the kids are in the car. When I am alone, watch out!

What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire...

I would build my dream house. I would also buy a vacation home. Probably in Newport Beach CA. Put the kids in private school. Make Jason travel with me around the world.I once knew of a Dr. in Las Vegas that bought a boat, and took his kids out of school, and hired a private tutor, and for a year his whole family sailed around the world. that has always sounded neat to me. I would like to do that. I would donate $ to autism research, to the church, and I would help any family I could. Oh! I would totally pay off Dane's student loans.

4 places I have lived
Las Vegas, NV.
Hof, Germany
Rexburg, ID.
Crockett, TX

5 Jobs I have had...
Clerk in a whole grain bread store
MGM Grand/Bally's Monorail
Sears
McKay Dee Credit Union
Manager of Side Street Cafe

5 things people don't know about me...
I really hate blue m&ms. Well actually pretty much all blue food, esp. blue raspberry flavored things.

I consider myself to be a really shy person. It has taken me a long time to overcome my shyness, and I still fight it all the time. I have a hard time thinking of things to say to people.

I am really vain about my hair. I dread the day it turns gray. I define myself by my hair color. I am so glad I passed it on to my girls.

I am a planner. I have to plan for my time. I get really annoyed by my in-laws and the fact that nothing is ever planned. (SORRY but its true!)

I hate to be cold, and I usually am. I can handle hot weather really well. I would much rather be hot than cold any day.

Okay, now I tag Kristina, Monique, Christie, and Sara M.

Legs that go on forever...

Being quite short myself, I have always been a little jealous of tall women with long sexy legs. I think Ivy has finally figured out how to create the iillusion of those long sexy legs. Now if I can only find pants long enough...

Violated

Last night we had a thief in our quiet suburban neighborhood. He broke into all the cars on our street and I think in the rest of the neighborhood as well. My car included. Luckily he was not interested in the pennies and old ink cartridges I have in my center console, so nothing was taken from my car. I haven't spoken to Jason yet so I don't know about his. While I'm glad I didn't have anything of value in my car, Its a little scary to think someone was in there looking around for something to take. My neighbors had their garage door openers stolen, along with
several other items. I am so glad we pray each night for safety and protection.
