A conversation

I don't usually post this often, but this cracked me up.

Emilie: Mom, how long is 12 hours?
Mom: 12 hours.
Emilie: No Mom, How LONG is 12 hours.
Mom: 12 hours. 12 am to 12 pm is 12 hours.
Emilie: Yeah, but I mean in the winter!


I still have no clue what she was talking about.
