Free Cable

There are certain times in your life, maybe 2 or 3 times, when life offers you something for free. For us getting cable was one of those opportunities. Of course we didn't know we were getting it free, until we called up and asked for our bill. It was at that time when they told us we weren't even on their radar. We've been ordering movies and watching over 300 channels for free. Why OH why did we call.

Easter Festivities

I love Easter. To me it is so much better than Christmas. Not nearly as much hype and none of the mad dashes to find the perfect gift for Crazy Uncle Bob. There is so much more time to focus on the Savior and the Atonement; to reflect on the things that really matter in life.

We were lucky enough to have our turn for our monthly family dinner fall on Easter. We had Jason's wacky family over for dinner and a cousins egg hunt. I had such a good time. I just love having everyone over at my house. Mostly because I love to play hostess, but also because I just enjoy the Poyfairs so much. We had a wonderful surprise when we found out Jason's Dad and Cousin Pam were in town. So they joined in the Easter fun with us. We missed Sharee and Kyla, but I'm sure they had fun in Idaho. Thanks everyone for a terrific holiday.

my homework

The homework: bring a paper bag to class.
Now, use the bag and a piece of tracing paper to make something. Anything.
What is it you ask. I made a snake eating a mouse. A little violent I guess, but not as bad as the atom bomb mushroom cloud another student made.

New assignment: draw what you made.

I've never really considered myself an artist, but I'm a little proud of this.

And I think this is a really fun assignment. Much better than reading four chapters for my history class.
