The wonders of summer vacation

Once again we had the most amazing summer vacation. We went to Newport with my wonderful parents, and as always, we had the time of our lives. Emilie and Ivy were old pros at playing on the beach and in the water this year, and Adelaide truly understood just how fun the beach can be. I think several seagulls were happy to see her leave after a week of being constantly chased by her.
My parents totally spoiled the big kids, and sent them to 3 days of surf camp. Truly an experience of a lifetime. Despite the cold water, Emilie kept dragging her surf board out into the waves over and over again. Her persistence paid off. She was able to stand and surf the waves in no time. Ivy was little more interested in digging for sand crabs than braving the freezing the surf, however she didn't do too badly when we could coax out into the water. Even she managed to get up a few times.
Carmella was such a sweet little beach baby. She took some good long naps out on the sand under the umbrella, and Daddy even got her feet wet in the waves.
It was so wonderful just to be out on the beach I have known since I was a little girl. I loved being there with my parents, and sharing it with my sweetheart and my girls. I am already looking forward to next year. Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful time!

since I took over 100 photos I have only loaded a few of my favorites, and even that was hard to decide.
