Easter Weekend

Easter,
Another holiday come and gone.
My goodness, but this year is flying by.
Of course, it doesn't help that Easter came so early this year. It really throws me off.
I'm usually just putting my Easter decor up about now, and here I've already
taken it down and boxed it up for next year.  I feel like I need
to do some spring decorating, but we'll see if I ever manage to get around to that.
Summer may be here before that ever happens!

We had a wonderful holiday this year.
Our ward held an Easter lunch and egg hunt. It was a lot of fun.
Addie was a little disappointed that she only found 2 eggs, but Ivy, who
filled her basket to capacity, was happy to share with her little sister, and a few other
less fortunate hunters too.

Carmella was thrilled to pieces with her one and only egg. She was even happier with, and more
protective of, the bag of Barbecue chips she was given at the end of the party. Never had a
kid been so happy have a huge bag of chips all to herself.
Thank you Sister Hales!

Saturday afternoon while Emilie's friend Bailey was over, we decorated eggs. In
grand Poyfair egg coloring tradition all the pink dye was spilled. This year I
got to wear the pink dye. Luckily it came out of my clothes, but my leg is holding on to it
a little longer than I would like.

Sunday, was of course, the real deal. We went to church and were filled with the Spirit as
we reflected on the Savior and His amazing sacrifice. I am so thankful
for the gift of the Resurrection and eternal families. My heart is full
with all the blessings we have been given, but most importantly,
with the Plan on Salvation. It is the most important part of the
gospel for me.

After church we held our own egg hunt at home, and in the evening
Shawn and Janet (Jason's brother and family) joined us for a
terrific dinner.
I could be wrong, but I think the Strawberry Pie was the best part!
