Turns out Six Flags IS more fun than cleaning my kitchen

Of course I always knew that was true. Six Flags is a lot of fun. I have a tough time siking myself up for a day of standing in line in the hot sun. But this morning when we were deciding what to do today, Jason said "Hey lets go to Six Flags" so we did. The kids had a blast. Addie was a little timid with the rides at first, but once we forced her onto the Ferris wheel, she was hooked. To the point of getting mad when she was too little for the rides the big sisters were going on.

Emilie and Ivy couldn't get enough of the place, and were so sad when it was time to go. We had to lure them out of the park with promises of McDonald's ice cream cones.

I think Ivy surprised me the most today. Gone are the days of the crazy little kid who runs off, and can't be trusted to stay put for 2 minutes. She waited patiently in lines, and made sure she was always near us. We even let Emilie and Ivy go solo on a smallish roller coaster. I am amazed by how big and independent they are. I am also amazed at well I dealing with that, but that's a post for another day. Now on to the pictures from today!!

Jason, best dad ever. (Next to mine of course)

Happy Father's Day to my honey. He truely is a great man and a wonderful father. I have three terrific children to prove it.
I love you babe.
I also love my own Father very much. He has always been such a great example of the kind of person I want to be. I am so lucky to have so many great men in my life.

My idea of a fun Friday Night

I spent this Friday night making a dress and matching headband for sweet Emilie. I've had the fabric sitting in my closet for a couple of years now, and today was the day I decided to do something with it. Emilie seems to like it. I guess that's all that matters.

Story Time

While doing the laundry today, I could hear Adelaide's little voice just chattering away.
I walked out of the laundry room and saw this. She just made herself comfortable in an empty basket, and was "reading" herself a story. She stayed this way for a quite a while. My little cutie!
